Re: Dumb Submitted Barry Lyndon
Unfortunately this TGZ dump was created using a Pioneer BDR-S11 UHD drive, which means that some of the disk's metadata is unusable to KEYDB

Hello,
Unfortunately not. But this wasn't the first file I've made available here, created with my Pioneer Drive. So, I'll refrain from making data available in the future if it doesn't help you. The work is then wasted.
Best regards

Your work isn't necessarily wasted, because someone may still be able to match your disk to a Unit Key. However, you are very unlikely also to learn the dusk's VUK, which is what MakeMKV would need.MasterDB2205 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 7:06 pmUnfortunately not. Did you email the dump to svq@makemkv.com?

Nope.Did you email the dump to svq@makemkv.com?
Re: Dumb Submitted Barry Lyndon
If you do email the dump, a hashed key will eventually be produced and MakeMKV will be able to decrypt the disc. This works regardless of the brand of optical drive you have.

Re: Dumb Submitted Barry Lyndon
That is the unfortunate downside of the MakeMKV team choosing to obfuscate disc metadata read with Pioneer drives. If they ever change this policy, the public keydb will be able to accommodate Pioneer disc dump files in the same manner as the currently supported LG/Asus/Buffalo drives.
I'm not optimistic about such a change ever happening, so I'd recommend buying a BU40N, BP50NB40, BP60NB10, BH16NS55 or BW-16D1HT whilst they are still somewhat widely available.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
- LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
- Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
- If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder
