It looks like MakeMKV hasn't been able to enable LibreDrive, although I cannot see any obvious reason why not. Perhaps just try power-cycling your drive, waiting until your disk appears in Windows Explorer, and then start MakeMKV again?

Thank you, I tried power cycling the UHD drive and rebooting the PC, but still get the same.

Something is wrong with your drive then. Without LibreDrive being active, it's not going to work. As to why that's happening, if you've power cycled it, no idea. Whenever you see the Can't get VID... message, it means LibreDrive isn't working right.

Does C:\Users\ianw/.MakeMKV/_private_data.tar contain anything? It should include a file called sdf_00000098.bin.

This is the LibreDrive microcode, and so you really should have it . And if you don't, it implies that MakeMKV doesn't have a network connection to MakeMKV's servers.

You can also download it manually from https://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin, copy it into your C:\Users\ianw/.MakeMKV directory, and MakeMKV will add it to _private_data.tar when you start it next.
