Re: Planes, Trains & Automobiles 4k UHD
was anyone able to rip this? it's consistently not working for me.
Re: Planes, Trains & Automobiles 4k UHD
Just bumping this, has anyone resolved it?
Installed JRE but when I try to open the disc it spits out errors non stop and the timer just goes up and up.
It won't let me attach the TGZ file or txt files as it is too long but they can be found here

Re: Planes, Trains & Automobiles 4k UHD
Can you adjust the "Share" option for that folder please, so that people can access it?
Re: Planes, Trains & Automobiles 4k UHD
Thanks, and can you also add the full MKB_RO.inf file from your UHD disk to that folder please? The MKB_RO.inf file inside the TGZ dump file has been truncated to only 56 bytes, which makes it unusable to anyone except MakeMKV itself.
Your drive seems to be struggling to read that disk properly for some reason. It appears to enable LibreDrive correctly:

Thanks for explaining it. I’ve tried gently cleaning with a microfibre but still no luck.MrPenguin wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2026 8:04 pmThanks, and can you also add the full MKB_RO.inf file from your UHD disk to that folder please? I only have the one drive, the only other disk it flat out refused to open was disc one of The Penguin.
Where can I find the RO file?
Re: Planes, Trains & Automobiles 4k UHD
The MKB_RO.inf file is in the disk's AACS/ directory, assuming Windows File Explorer can open it. It should be several MB in size.
One other thing: can you also create a new discatt.dat file for this disk please? You would do this by asking MakeMKV to create an encrypted back-up of this UHD disk into a temporary directory. Once the discatt.dat file appears (and it should be one of the very first files created) then you can copy it to a safe place and abort the back-up. This discatt.dat file should contain the rest of the information missing from your TGZ dump file.
