The C8F4 and 0B82 variants of F1 have both been added to the public keydb.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
  • LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
  • Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
  • If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder

I've never done this before but I'm hoping this is correct.

F1 movie dump file here:
MKB20_v82_F1_3AA4.tgz
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XTQD54 ... sp=sharing

I think I added the latest keydb.cfg to correct folder but this is my first time needing it. Please let me know if I did something wrong.

The KEYDB.cfg file already contains this disk:

Code: Select all

0x86BA6C79B9BFF8BA368FFC92C213E2090C68BAF6 = F1 (F1) | D | 2025-07-28 | ...
Just copy your KEYDB.cfg file into the same directory where MakeMKV writes its TGZ dump files, and then restart MakeMKV.

Have you considered using SamuriHL's utility?

Is there a way to search for disks in the database before downloading the file? When I'm waiting on a new disk to be added, I'd love to be able to just search existing entries instead of compulsively downloading the file every couple of hours, especially since it downloads really slowly.

Try using SamuriHL's utility, which uses FindVUK to "refresh" your copy of KEYDB.cfg rather than redownloading the whole thing each time.

Yeah, as Mr Penguin said, using SamuriHL's utility is the easiest option. It does have a search function. Just feed it the discID (the SHA-1 of the Unit_Key_RO.inf file on the disc or in the dump) or you can manually download the latest KeyDB, open it in notepad and search for the discID.
Cheers :D

Excellent, thank you both! For submitting new dumps (I have a day 1 release waiting for me at home), do we just make a new thread for the movie or is there a dump thread that is preferred? (After making sure the dump is needed, of course).

Disc Info is easiest.

-Synchronize to pull the latest KeyDB with FindVUK (It does a delta pull so you're only pulling what you're missing and not the whole thing)
-Disc Info

That will tell you the status of your disc. Bonus points for validating unvalidated KeyDB entries while you're at it. This can also be done on protected ISO images in lieu of the physical disc to save time and wear and tear. Just mount it with your favorite image mounting software and Disc Info away.

Is Disc Info a part of your utility, or a separate app? I was doing it the old fashioned way of manually downloading the DB file from FindVUK and moving it into my MakeMKV folder and hoping my new disks worked. Rinse and repeat until the disks had finally been added.

It's a button in my UI, yes. I prefer 2 button clicks to a lot of manual work, personally...hence why I wrote it. :D
