Nonetheless, I often flash the bios / firmware of various drive while the tray was opened and never had any issue at all. Also, it was only my last flashing attempts the tray was opened, all previous ones, the tray was closed with no disc ofc. But I'm happy I could finally rip the disc
I learned a new expression "code 18". Is there anything that also resembles a "forehead installation"? People expecting everything installing OK with just letting their forehead fall on the keyboard and the program will install magically?
Well I live in Québec province of Canada and "code 18" is a common expression from IT's like me meaning the problem is at 18 inch from the computer screen So in the end, it's a mistake from the user There is no expression that resembles of "forehead installation" and the meaning isn't the same as "code 18"
Hey steve, for the ns60 drive where did you find the 1.03 firmware?? I checked the post you linked and could not find the mentioned file. Is there anyway you could email me a link directly to it and the firmware installer you used?? My drive is refusing to recognize any 4k discs now it seems.

It's in the MK firmware pack. Note: WH16NS60 1.03. For BH16NS60 the max. version is 1.02.

Do not install 1-03 it is of poor performance. 1-02mk is the best
