Makemkv does not start after CD-ROM search
Hello! I wanted to test Makemkv again after a long time and had deleted all files. Also the folder .Makemkv in the home directory. After I reinstalled it, it tried to search for drives and got stuck there. No matter how long you wait. This happens with the flathub and the compiled version. I am usin...

Re: Comprehension question Makemkv
Ok, if I don't need any special software, firmware, extra files etc. for my UHD drive and the copies run without copy protection on any computer, then I'll probably give it a try. I want to back up all my Blurays and UHDs and then watch them via a NAS on the TV or with VLC on the computer. Now I jus...

Comprehension question Makemkv
Hello!
I would like to know if it is enough to install Makemkv to make backups of e.g. a UHD, so that it can be run from a NAS without copy protection.
I use a Pioneer BD-RW BDR-S13U drive under EndeeavourO's Linux.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: When does Makemkv support the drive Pioneer BDR-S13EBK
Return your drive and get one that is currently UHD compatible. I've had it too long for that - about 4 months. But what interests me more. Does the sound work on all devices? I tried to play a film (Bakaroo Banzai), which I had copied as a test, on my TV via a NAS. The picture was played back, but...

Re: When does Makemkv support the drive Pioneer BDR-S13EBK
Then I hope that there will soon be a firmware that supports my drive. After using the free key, I was able to save a Bluray film as a backup, but it couldn't save a UHD film. So unfortunately Makemkv is only worth half as much to me. Because backing up my UHD films was the reason why I bought this ...

When does Makemkv support the drive Pioneer BDR-S13EBK
Hello! I bought a Pioneer BDR-S13EBK and realised that it does not work with MakeMKV. When will a new firmware be available and when will it work with MakeMKV? Whenever I start MakeMKV v 1.17.1 linux ( x64-release ) it says that 1.17.7 is too old and I should download the latest version. But the 1.1...

Re: Pioneer firmware update February 2023
Hello! I bought a Pioneer BDR-S13U and would like to flash it so I can back up my UHD's. But as I learnt, this is unfortunately not possible at the moment. But I think it is good that you are taking care of this problem. I therefore wish you every success and that you manage to make it possible to b...

Re: What do I have to do so that I can play the UHD content on the computer ?
I searched for a long time but nobody wanted to ship to Germany or only with horrendous costs. So I have now bought this one. Why can't it be flashed? Here is some more data that Makemkv displays: Drive information OS device name: /dev/sr0 Current profile: BD-ROM Producer: PIONEER Product: BD-RW BDR...

What do I have to do so that I can play the UHD content on the computer ?
Hello! Finally my new computer is ready - with a Pioneer BD - RW BD-RW BDR-S13U Rev. 1.4. You can see the files and save them (copy them from the UHD to a directory with a file manager) but unfortunately you can't play them with VLC afterwards. The libaacs is installed and a directory ~/.config/aacs...

Hello!
I have already sent a request on 08.05.2024 at 20:17 (German summer time) and still have no answer.
Since I need the drive until 29.05.2024 it would not be bad if we could come to an agreement quickly.
Yours sincerely

Re: Which Libredrive ( UHD )?
I only use Linux and don't want to buy a Windows PC just to flash a UHD burner.
I am looking for a drive that is already flashed and working.

Which UHD drive is best under Linux?
Hello! I am looking for a way to copy my UHD movies to an external drive or a NAS. But unfortunately I can't find a drive that can do this. Does anyone know a drive that can do this? And since I want to use it under Linux, I would also need a way to install the new firmware under Linux. Does anyone ...
