That could be my future workaround. Meanwhile, I'm sticking with 15.3.2 and not going near any MacOS Beta/RC.

Buy the Verbatim 43888 on Amazon. It is an UD04 will work out of the box. The enclosure is power hungry. You should use an USB-C port or make sure it gets enough power from an USB-A port. A powered hub will also help.
