Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) ...

Something is preventing MakeMKV from downloading its "Hashed Keys" (HK) database. You should try to fix this, perhaps consult the FAQ?

Try using SamuriHL's utility, which uses FindVUK to "refresh" your copy of KEYDB.cfg rather than redownloading the whole thing each time.

Yes, but the guide is also in the "UHD disks" section

. To be fair, MakeMKV should only generate a TGZ dump file for an ordinary BluRay using MKBv82.

Since I am using Pioneer drive I cannot contribute to public keydb I guess. Although I have a brand new ASUS BW-16D1HT I bought a few weeks back, so in theory I might change its firmware... I’ve already successfully ripped the disc using MakeMKV. I’ve never flashed my drive, so the firmware is stock. Now, MakeMKV reports that the highest AACS version supported by the drive is 81. The disc title doesn’t seem to be present in the publicly available KEYDB file. Have you tried adding that...
