Seems the domain has been removed from the org. zone ... the worrying part is the:
It's however still reachable under its IP address.
in the whois.Domain Status: clientHold https://icann.org/epp#clientHold

Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
The metadata title of your disc contains the non-ASCII right single quotation mark (UTF-8 encoding 0xE28099). This is why your search for "Knight ' s Tale" returned nothing - you needed to search for "Knight ’ s Tale". This is also why the title may render as "Knight’s Ta...

Re: makemkvcon gets automatically started via gvfs-udisks2-volume-monitor
It seems libbluray has no env var or so that can be used to really disable loading of libmmbd, so the "best" solution I found was the following systemd drop-in config, which simply denies gvfs-udisks2-volume-monitor access to libmmbd and makemkvcon (the latter would probably not be needed)...

makemkvcon gets automatically started via gvfs-udisks2-volume-monitor
Hey there. Since a while I'm seeing that some makemkvcon process(es) get started by merely inserting a disc without actually starting makemkv or doing anything else. This is actually a bit annoying, as the process causes some ongoing disc activity and in particular it doesn't seem to stop (or I was ...

And even better is, that one can assume Mike is okay.

destination directory - custom option broken?
Hey. Following that description https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7308 it seems to me that the "Custom" option is broken, in particular, when I select "Custom" and specify some directory, it will not generate a backup directly within that, but sill add an <VOLUME NA...

Re: ssif.smap-to-ssif tool
I discovered that UDF 2.5 and up support hard linking and that this is used by SSIF files Hard linking would rather be another name for the same inode (i.e. the whole file). This is more what we in Linux call ref copies or so. Are you aware if there is any way to instruct ImgBurn or any other softw...

any open BD Content Hash Table verifier?
Hey. I just wondered whether anyone here ever stumbled over some open source implementation of a verifier for the hashsums in the Content Hash Table of BluRays? MakeMKV does it when it makes a copy, but I'd like to have a standalone tool (e.g. for just checking the medium or verifying an image dump ...

Re: Ever tried 3D movies in VR?
I'd also be interested in that (as well as for 3D projectors). Especially the question, once I have the archived 3D BD - or perhaps already an MKV - can I play back in 3D on a VR-headset/projector with purely opensource (by that I don't mean, that the device firmware needs to be opensource - that an...

Re: Which drive?
I need to correct myself, after just having it double checked:
The BDR-S12U of mine is actually a cross flashed BDR-S12XLT ... hat totally forgotten about that and just read it on the device's label now.
But the two BDR-XS07U should be true ones.
Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Which drive?
@Coopervid: It's clear how to find out whether LibreDrive is supported when one has the device... I just don't have a BU40N yet ;-) @MrPenguin: Not sure, as I've said it does work for *my* BDR-S12U but not for my two BDR-XS07U - however, all these devices have their firmware as I got them when order...

Which drive?
Hey folks. I already do have a number[0] of LibreDrive compatible drives (e.g. 2x BDR-XS07U). Recently I've learned[1] that some drives (unfortunately it seems not the aforementioned BDR-XS07U) can circumvent bus encryption even on UHDs with either just libbluray+libaacs or alternatively with dvdfab...
