Re: Are AV synchronization issues a problem?
That's not always the case in my experience. Quite a lot of TV shows have audio gaps between segments (recaps and where ad breaks would have been when aired for example). I've had numerous shows do this but when I check the files at the time code it's fine and never happens mid scene or anywhere sus...

Re: TENET UHD RB - Failed to open disk
The Nordic version is decrypted (I got the Finnish steelbook edition). Had a bit of hassle ripping this one (although nowhere near as bad as Black Hawk Down or Fury). Tried it on 2x speed and encountered an error around 62gb into the main movie file (the rip completed, which is usually a good sign r...

Re: Chernobyl 4K UHD
I ripped the French steelbook release the other week (full disc backup on both discs successful).

Re: Exhausted....Black Hawk Down
Managed to rip both Black Hawk Down and Fury today. Only change I made was to manually go into the registry and change the drive speed to 2x for all triple layer discs. Took a good 2 hrs for each disc but it got done with no errors. Might be worth a try. how do you do that? See here: https://www.ma...

Very happy customer here too. Recently purchased a drive to rip my UHD discs and the advice and service received was top class. Will look to buy again somepoint in 2021 as I would like a back-up drive too. Icing on the cake is that it rips my normal blu-rays way quicker than my older drive so it's a...

Re: Blu-ray wont read but plays in DVD/PS4
Sounds like a bad disc to me (most likely the drive can't read the disc contents area which means it doesn't see the disc at all). If the disc doesn't show up in Windows Explorer either then you're out of luck. Best you can do is thoroughly clean it and hope for the best. I've had a handful like thi...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)
I was ripping these just fine until I got to The Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition. I put the disc in and the drive spun up and sounded funny. It then slowed to a crawl trying to open the disc before eventually crapping out with: "Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' o...

Re: What kind of error is this?
Thanks, as I expected (although was hoping I wouldn't have to re-rip). :( Will try it again and put on debug log this time. Just wish I knew which playlist file the error occurred on as this disc in particular has lots of smaller files a few GB each (as it seamless branches the 2 different cuts) and...

What kind of error is this?
I've recently been trying to rip (full disc) the UHD of Black Hawk Down (UK release) and finally made a copy but this is what the program log showed: Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files. File "dummy_f.dat" was skipped Encountered 1 errors of type 'Read Error' - s...

Re: Exhausted....Black Hawk Down
Yep, Fury has been problematic for me too, always fails near (what I think is) the layer change. Speed drops to 0.0 and drive just can't get going again. On that one I get actual offset errors.

Re: Exhausted....Black Hawk Down
Been having a nightmare trying to rip this disc (UK version). At first failed to recognise the disc in the drive, then after a clean it recognised but would get stuck a few minutes into the rip. Cleaned again and managed to do a full rip (although it was slow at around 2.0 speed and took 95min). Pro...
