Update: Currently trying to backup the DVD using ddrescue (on macOS) to see is MakeMKV will read it from an ISO file. I'll report back - cross your fingers for me!

Thanks. I did try the three different methods via manual selection but it's the exact same outcome every time in the shortest timeframe I've ever seen MakeMKV fail. It takes three seconds from pressing the open disc button to it failing/halting any further scan. Really bizarre.

This works for me: manual mode and enter title 71

This MAY also work:

It's the 4th one listed with 16 chapters and size around 4 GB

Confirmed workaround;

- Open MakeMKV (latest version)
- Go to Preferences / Settings
- Go to Protection

Set the DVD structure protection removal method manually, to CellTrim...

You should now see only a single title, which will include the full movie.
