Only in the event of "...so-called host revocation". It happens periodically & without LibreDrive, required a MakeMKV program update.

Does this error mean "host revoked"?

For reading JUST DVD and BD, it's already set up for that. I have one similar to your drive, and I use it for most everything.

I think LibreDrive is needed to read BD discs that has AACS v77 or higher.
Is this my misunderstanding?
