Re: New to ripping/burning, need help

Hi, I am embarking on a journey to burn some 4K movies to BD50 discs, and after coming across this forum I’m unsure whether I need to have a “flashed” drive or if any UHD drive will be enough to burn to BD50? Now that RedFox's AnyDVDHD is gone, will checking the System option in the Integration tab allow integration so I can use tools such as BD Info without ripping the disc?
Dunno. Try it and find out.

Thx,
I did.

Which is most reliable and forgiving of imperfect DVD's
Impossible to say. No drive will read discs that are too scratched/imperfect.

Hi,
I'm after a reliable UDH portable drive for a Windows laptop (I might one day go Apple though), preferably slim. I'm in Australia. (does region matter? I travel, so a region bound drive would be a pain). I don't care about writing, just reading.

Oop, forgot to ask about the Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD and the LG WP/BP50NB40 (BU40N)
Yes, both are good. The BP50NB40 cross-flashed with BU40N firmware works the same as the Archgon for UHD ripping.

OK, so NOT the Verbatim 43888 :-(

What about the BDR-XD08TB (flip)
or BDR-XS07B-UHD, BDR-XS07TS, BDR-XD08EMB-S?
No, none of those Pioneer drives are UHD compatible as they all come with too new firmware that disabled libredrive and UHD readability.

After reading a couple forms I have tried to do the recovery process I even downloaded the 1.0 version to recover but its still not letting me write tot the drive and it won't open
viewtopic.php?p=94848#p94848

Follow it. Simple. Same steps for BP50NB40
