Re: feature request for v1.17.10 (ignore read errors option)
Many messages on this forum assure new users that their MakeMKV copy is not degraded in any way. It is an exact copy of the video and audio data on their disc. Taking from Marty McNuts, if you get errors then: 1. Your disc is dirty, 2. Your disc is faulty, or 3. Your optical drive is faulty. I like ...

Yes, I followed the guide, but I am not super technical, so might have messed it up. Drive Info shows: Drive Information OS device name: E: Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST Prod...

Re: ASUS BW-16D1X-U - Flashable?
Both BIN files produce Error coves too long to copy...ideas? You don't copy the bin files. Download Marty's SDFtool Flasher and either "All you need software pack" to your windows computer. Unzip the pack if needed and then start the SDFtool Flasher program and select the firmware to writ...

Re: Pauses when ripping then carries on
Defective or dirty discs can lockup my LG disc player so badly that I need to power cycle my computer. Try cleaning or replacing the problem discs.

Is the End Coming?
According to Tom's Hardware https://www.tomshardware.com/tech-industry/lg-stops-making-blu-ray-players-marking-the-end-of-an-era-limited-units-remain-while-inventory-lasts , LG is ending production of DVD/BR players for televisions. Sony and Oppo have already done so leaving only Panasonic in that b...

Re: BU40N PA04
The SDFtool Flasher is meant to work with the "All You Need Firmware Pack". Either: 1. DE_LG_BU40N_1.00.bin 2. DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin should write to your drive. Use the "Write" option, not "Recovery". The "Revision: PA04" is strange but maybe something Panas...

Re: Do I need to flash my LG BP60NB10?
If you want the LibreDrive benefits, then flash it to DE_LG_BP60NB10_1.02-MK.bin. Just download Marty's SDFtoolflasher and the "All You Need Firmware Pack" from https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22896 and follow the instructions to write the MK firmware binary to you...

Re: MakeMKV 1.17.7 too old, crashes on start
If you copy the registration key on a mac by double clicking it, on pasting it has a space at the end - and so doesn't allow you to click register You just have to delete the space at end - and then it works! The "Select all" in the Code block header always picks the correct key - with Wi...

Re: Problem ripping UHD to external USB HDD?
Is your optical drive internal or external? If they are both external, they might be sharing power and starving the optical drive. Try using a USB 3 for the optical and USB 2 for portable HDD.
I use a portable HDD for all my rips without any problems.

So it's not 1.17.7.
Maybe try just copying individual titles. Sometimes DVD's print defective titles to hinder copying. It would be hard to squeeze more than three 45 minute titles on a DVD.

Hard to say without seeing any logs or knowing your operating system. If you are registered, then go to https://www.makemkv.com/download/old/ to download and test an earlier version.
