Re: Makemkv can't read blu-ray dvds from moviesrusa.[net biz]
Handbrake is more tolerant of errors. I use it to compress videos from over-the-air TV which may have dropouts in bad weather. It will make a copy with the glitches included. MakeMKV is used to make exact copies of the movies from commercial disks. The log file indicates it sees errors which it cann...

Re: Makemkv can't read blu-ray dvds from moviesrusa.[net biz]
That site sells BD-R discs which are more prone to read and write errors than commercial disks.

Nice pun!
What confused you in Marty's instructions about flashing the BP50NB40 drive? What changes could be made to make it more clear?

Re: Cross-flashed LG BP50NB40 (NB52) – UHD not reading, Blu-rays are fine
Clean your UHD disc or try a different disc. LG drives are not as good as Pioneer readers. No insult intended but are you a bot? Your question about firmware on the BP50NB40 has been asked and answered probably 50 times before and a bot may just use those postings to make a realistic question. "...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
When you launch MakeMKV itself, it will show your optical drive model, its firmware version and date. That and the SDFtool Flasher https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22896 first post will tell you how to flash your drive. Note that your BP50NB40 if SVC: NB52 (a tag ...

You will always get the full, correct beta key if you use the "Select all" link in the Code box before copying.

Re: Verbatim 43890 External Slimline Mobile USB 3.2 Blu-ray Writer UHD Problem
I have a couple Verbatim 43890 drives and they came with external power bricks. Have you tried using this external power source? I use that and it runs fine with single USB 2.0 connection. Like Coopervid says, clean the disc. I've had new discs come with an oily film. Sometimes the disc is just defe...

Re: Improving vocals from Blu-rays?
Check what audio adjustments are on your TV. Anything to reduce the bass should make the dialog more prominent.

Re: Improving vocals from Blu-rays?
The vocals are difficult to discern on some films. I think it is just bad sound engineering on some newer films. My Handbrake process is like yours, reducing the 5.1 channel to AAC stereo. Maybe someone with a theater sound system will comment if that helps the vocals. My profile for blu-ray discs d...

Re: MakeMKV v.1.18.1 - failed files are not deleted
Some users have requested that failed files not be deleted hoping that some use may be made of them. See viewtopic.php?f=1&t=31272&p=155118&hili ... on#p155118. So this may be a new feature not a bug.

Re: feature request for v1.17.10 (ignore read errors option)
Many messages on this forum assure new users that their MakeMKV copy is not degraded in any way. It is an exact copy of the video and audio data on their disc. Taking from Marty McNuts, if you get errors then: 1. Your disc is dirty, 2. Your disc is faulty, or 3. Your optical drive is faulty. I like ...
