Yes, I am aware of that. I updated to version 1.18.0 and installed it, but it still didn't work, which is why I wrote this post.

For a bit, you still have to submit dumps for v82, same way as with UHD.

I believe the native "hashed keys" are not used for AACS1.0 discs.

They are not usually, but they can be. Specifically for v82 we've added all the discs we got dumps for.

As many have certainly noticed, discs with AACS v82 were just released. This is a major AACS update, it revokes both keys and certificates - everything one can possibly revoke. It was just a one-line bug that prevented working with recent ffmpeg. It is fixed in 1.17.8 , all versions of ffmpeg are now supported. The fix can be easily backported to previous versions - it is just a single-line type in makemkv-oss package.
