Hi guys, I have bought a drive that has a BU40N in it. I first open the MakeMKV application and it doesn't show any libredrive information. It only shows this.
Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: Generic
Product: External
Revision: A100
Serial number: KZFH1DE0323
Firmware date: 2117-01-02 11:59
Bus encryption flags: 1F

Disc Information
Label: LOGICAL_VOLUME_ID
Timestamp: 2006-09-14 00:12:56
Protection: AACS v4
Data capacity: 21.58 Gb
Disc type: BD-ROM
Number of layers: 1
Channel bit length: 74,5 nm (25.0 GB max. per layer)

So i try to use the SDFtools to flash the firmware but then it said it is not in MT1959 platform, which i have researched kinda weird for a BU40N to not in MT1959 platform. I have try to manually flash it with the cmd code with and without enc, both have the problem no drive tool logic in sdf.bin. I figured out it might be the problem of makemkv doesn't download the sdf.bin for my drive, so i install n uninstall but still no sdf is being installed. I have manually tried to download the sdf.bin but once i open makemkv it will disappear. It does have an external enclosure im not quite sure if its the problem, cuz it doesn't have any screws like that so i think i want to find out if there is any solution to this before i try to connect it directly.

Use a recommend case from the guide
See below
Your case does not pass though the info correctly
You could use force flash commands but it's a bad idea seen that brick drives if the case does not pass through flashing correct

I think tomorrow I'll try to find a direct sata to usb cable first, is this recommended or should i just straight away get a recommended enclosure?
I have do a bit of research n i think the problem lies between the enclosure or faulty firmware, I can still play movie with the drive so i think its the enclosure problem.
