I'm trying to open the Cinematographe Blu-ray of Female Perversions, but it's giving me a message in the info/log window saying “This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Please let us know about it by visiting” and then there's a link. Usually when I've seen this, it's followed by an AACS error, it creates a dump file, and I can email that to svq. Instead, it threw a bunch of debug errors and then...opened the disc, apparently successfully. But the commentary track is apparently in 17-channel Dolby Digital. I closed the disc, reopened it, had the same sequence occur but now the commentary is 15.1. Closing MakeMKV and reopening it led to the disc opening properly.

No idea what's going on? There's been no dump file generated so there's nothing to email in. I did click on the link but I'm not sure what that does, it just leads to a “thank you” message. But the fact that the disc opened means it shouldn't have been throwing those errors in the first place?

Very odd. I'm not sure I can be of much help, but just in case, could you please tell me the version of MakeMKV you're using (it should be in Help -> About) ? Also, what's the AACS version of the disc? MakeMKV should tell you about this in the Info window.

Thank you. I'm not sure what to say... I've heard that having MakeMKV running when you insert a disc can cause errors that go away when you do this :

I'm not sure, but maybe that's what happened here ? You didn't get any errors when you did the above, correct ?

Correct.

So that means the issue really might stem from what I said in my previous post, then.

Should it happen again, please feel free to post the full error log, and maybe someone more experienced than I am will be able to shed more light on this.
