I can not get jaws 3 to rip
Have you also emailed this TGZ dump file to svq@makemkv.com? And never mind if you don't, but would you happen to have access to a non-Pioneer UHD drive too please?
Yes I have the LG 16N60 as well. I havent emailed anyone.MrPenguin wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 11:18 amHave you also emailed this TGZ dump file to svq@makemkv.com? And never mind if you don't, but would you happen to have access to a non-Pioneer UHD drive too please?
You need to email the TGZ dump file to svq@makemkv.com so that your disk can be added to MakeMKV's native "hashed keys" database. This will take an unspecified and unknowable amount of time. However, if you could generate a second TGZ dump file for this disk using your LG drive and provide it here, then The Powers That KEYDB might be able to add your disk to the public KEYDB.cfg file too.
MakeMKV requires that KEYDB.cfg contains the Volume Unique Key (VUK) for a given disk, so it can only use those entries with a "| V |" field. And besides, KEYDB uses the SHA1 hash of the AACS/Unit_Key_RO.inf file as its key, which for your disk is "0x9C30C57F84E4437A9F64800850F681E754620489" and not "0xC5231FC993A794DD70B60DA18CED34AA0BE018BC "xokia wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 5:56 pm I tried
0xC5231FC993A794DD70B60DA18CED34AA0BE018BC = Jaws3_UPK1 (Jaws 3) | D | 2024-05-13
which I found by searching but it did not work
That does not work eitherSamuriHL wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 8:46 pm Just open the disc in MakeMKV with XReveal open and it should work.
Xreveal needs to know the disk's Unit Key, which is the "| U |" field. AFAIK KEYDB does not currently have either a VUK or a Unit Key for your disk. Maybe check back later? SamuriHL also has a utility which may help
Actually, it currently has both a VID and a Unit Key. Still no VUK thoughSamuriHL wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 11:10 pm Oh it's one of those entries with just the VID? I truly hate those.
Do we know if the unit key is correct? I was unable to find one with my methods for that particular disc.MrPenguin wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 11:41 pm Actually, it currently has both a VID and a Unit Key. Still no VUK though.
Thanks for providing a suitable disc dump file. The 491C variant of Jaws 3 now has a complete record in the public keydb so it should allow MakeMKV to decrypt your particular disc.xokia wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 5:56 pm 16N60
I tried

That worked thank you!keydb_helper wrote: Mon Jun 02, 2025 1:52 am Thanks for providing a suitable disc dump file. The 491C variant of Jaws 3 now has a complete record in the public keydb so it should allow MakeMKV to decrypt your particular disc.
