can someone please please just tell me how to do this, chat gpt doesn't know or just isn't telling me. I need to rip my dvd collection I do not pirate. but all my files got deleted once already and I need to re-rip, my is MakeMKV not naming the folders correctly?

This is disc 2 of season 1. Can't there be some way to auto name these?

it is naming disc 2 as disc 1 and the filenames collide. tthe software should know the filename pattern it is using, and be able to determine that the file names need to be incremented after the highest named file. at least when I am involved in a project like this I should have the option to set the filename pattern..

also I looked and can not find tthe opttion tto set a consttant prefix of suffix tthat auto increments.. that would be a life saver in this instance tto always auttto append a number so the folder is always unique no matter what. is tthat an option currently and if so what is it called so I can find it?

Not knowing what your settings are and what disks, it's hard to judge. Are you naming the disks as you rip them, or assuming they're all named?
