How come the playback lags a little, do I have to change some settings ?

The 9700k does support h.265 decoding so it should be smooth you have you display set to 23.97 Hz? Usually that's the 23 option in the menu not 24

no video cards are reasonable at this time sadly
but your 9700K should work fine for h.265 decoding
do you change your refresh rate to 23hz or have mad vr do it automatically?

I changed it in monitor, doesn't seem to have improved. How do I have MADVR automatically change refresh rate to 23 Hz ?

you can just copy mine if you have a 4K display that supports all those modes mine actually has more up to 120 but i haven't updated it since no movie is 120hz lol
