I think that's the actual error, The codes surrounding it are all 0s and that one anomaly happens shortly before I see

LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: Error while reading input

Do I need the full debug log here or is that enough to get started? Is this a common issue? I didn't find it when searching.

Yes, we need to see the debug log. There are probably other error messages that lead up to the final one, and they are important.
