Status for the project

I bought MakeMKV six months ago and it's still in beta. Is the project dead?

No, the project is not dead. If you look at the download page (/download/) you'll see the following helpful information when deciding if a project is dead; which may halt you from posting embarrassing questions on public forums.

MakeMKV v1.7.9 ( 5.11.2012 )

6 months ago was 26.11.2012, which means there have been a total of 5 new versions since you purchased.
