Verbatim 43888 won't read 4k disks after flash

Hello I recently purchased a Verbatim 43888 and tried to use MakeMKV to test it out on one of my 4k disks. It read the disk but wouldn't open for me to rip. So I did the process to flash the drive. I followed all the steps I could find online including YouTube videos. It doesn't matter which BU40N file I pick. Now it won't even read a 4k disk but it can a bluray.

I tired 3.0 and type c ports. Even got a powered USB hub to try that out and nothing gets it to read the disks.

I am stumped and hope someone can help.

You can start by pasting the text from the MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections.

WTF!!! Why on earth would you cross-flash a BU40N!! All you had to do was flash it to BU40N 1.03-MK and you would be done.

Use SDFtool Flasher and follow the instructions in the SDFtool Flasher thread for BP50NB40 SVC NB52 to RECOVER this drive back to BU40N firmware.

Thanks guys. First time doing this so followed some YouTube guide. Think that is where I messed up. Didn't know I had to hit recover to switch it. That worked. Sorry for being dumb about this.
