ASUS BW-16D1X-U external, MT1959 platform

ASUS BW-16D1X-U external drive, MT1959 platform.

Original firmware:

* ASUS BW-16D1X-U
* A105
* LibreDrive: Possible, not yet enabled

I flashed DE_LG_WP50NB40-NB50_1.03_MK.bin using SDFTool 1.3.6.

Current status:

* HL-DT-ST BD-RE WP50NB40 1.03
* LibreDrive: Enabled
* Drive recognized normally by MakeMKV

Problem:

* Physical eject button no longer works.
* Windows Eject does not work.
* MakeMKV File -> Eject Disc does not work.
* Tray is empty and cannot be opened normally.

Before I proceed with a BU40N recovery flash, is this expected behavior for this MT1959 ASUS BW-16D1X-U, or does it indicate I should use a different firmware path?

An update.

BW-16D1X-U MT1959, flashed WP50NB40-NB50 1.03 MK, LibreDrive enabled, eject button no longer works. In SDFTool RECOVER mode, which target firmware should I select: BP60NB10 1.02-MK, BP60NB10-NB12 1.02-MK, BU40N 1.00, or BU40N 1.03-MK?

Isn't this a 5.25" drive??? If so, WTF are you doing flashing slim drive firmware to it??!!

If it is a 5.25" drive and not a slim drive recover it to WH16NS60 1.02-MK
Cheers :D

That's what I get for listening to someone who doesn't know as much as they think they do. I was able to recover it to WH16NS60 1.02-MK. Thanks for saving my bacon! Do I need to do anything more to play a 4K UHD Blu-Ray in the drive?

Thanks a million!
Chris
