In case of warranty these drives can be flashed back to UD03 1.14 firmware. However, I don't know if Verbatim has a saftey stock of those if warranty applies. They should have.

I recently purchased a Verbatim 71094 with Pioneer BDR-UD03 from Makar and wanted to leave feedback for anyone else looking for a reliable UHD/LibreDrive-capable drive.

The drive arrived exactly as described, was packaged well, and worked properly right away. MakeMKV recognized the drive as a Pioneer BDR-UD03, and I was able to use it for 4K UHD ripping without issues. I tested it with UHD discs and the drive performed smoothly.

Update: I added a NEW Verbatim 43890 (Mfg. Jan. 2024).
