how to export subtitles in SRT format for HandBrake?

Post by davecotter » Thu Jun 30, 2011 1:37 am

first, i'da thought that HandBrake could just "pick up" the subtitles directly from the MKV file, but i guess not.

so instead, how can i export the subtitles in SRT format? or if i can't do it with MakeMKV, then i would dearly love to have that as a feature request. thanks.

SRT subtitles are text, the subtitles on DVD and Blu-ray are images. Without manual OCR'ing you can not convert from image to text.
