Just built a home NAS and need to rip all my blu-rays and UHDS

Post by ins0dus » Thu Oct 17, 2024 11:22 pm

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, but love the community! As my topic states I just built a NAS from scratch and I want to Rip all my Blu-rays and UHD movies into my NAS for my PLEX server/VLC. I have been reading that not all Optical Drives are the same and that some do not work for this task. Is there a list of Drives that is out there that shows which drives work best and which ones to stay away from? Or if anyone has a specific one that knows would work for my project, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance to everyone!

Pioneer models are recommended over LG / ASUS. They are simply better at everything.

It is recommended that you look at the guide: viewtopic.php?p=74718#p74718
Cheers :D
