Default Track Selection "matches if Nth (or bigger) track..."

Post by taylorwmj » Mon Aug 26, 2024 8:03 pm

Does the

Code: Select all

matches if Nth (or bigger) track of the same type and language
work at all for selection? I've gone back through the posts and it appears it's perhaps never worked?

Mike or woodstock -- any updates if this is ever going to be fixed?

This is huge future to help with selection logic for selecting the best/top language track on titles where default language is not available (foreign titles), but the top selection is likely the one you want to select.

Open to other ideas as well as how to select the top non-default language audio track.

I could not say - I simply tell MakeMKV to pull EVERY language track, audio and subtitle, and sort it out when processing through handbrake.

Yeah I can understand that. Unfortunately in my case I don't run anything through handbrake. I keep everything as is from MMKV. This sort of flag would be helpful with TV series only in foreign language so we don't have to go through multiple titles and select what we need.

Did you find a solution to only select one track per language automatically?
