A Pause/Resume feature?

Post by stjw3 » Wed Nov 15, 2023 2:09 pm

My UHD Drives tend to get hot and that causes issues with the process. A pause/resume function would be great as it would allow me to give the drive time to "rest". I have two LG UHD Drives and they both experience the issue. Anyone else have those issues?

Be aware that some drives disconnect if they're paused long enough to stop turning.

You could also limit their top speed to reduce heat build-up.

It's best to just let them cool off for a least 10 mins between discs pause half way through is not necessary.
The only thing that kills drive super quick is live encoding on a slow PC.
Makemkv never does that but some other rippers do seen some lgs drives die overnight when someone let's their dual core from 2006 reencode a 4K UHD.
