It would be very helpful if every file in a rip could be prepended with some unique text that I can set. I haven't found a way to do this but I suspect there is one.
Any help would be appreciated!
Example:
B1_t00.mkv
C1_t01.mkv
C2_t02.mkv
C3_t03.mkv
C4_t04.mkv
C5_t06.mkv
D1_t05.mkv
Would be great if it could be:
Wedding 1996 Disc 2 B1_t00.mkv
Wedding 1996 Disc 2 C1_t01.mkv
Wedding 1996 Disc 2 C2_t02.mkv
Wedding 1996 Disc 2 C3_t03.mkv
Wedding 1996 Disc 2 C4_t04.mkv
Wedding 1996 Disc 2 C5_t06.mkv
Wedding 1996 Disc 2 D1_t05.mkv
Is there a way to prepend text to every file ripped from a disc?

Tag the first file listed (actually the disk title track), and it will be copied to any track you haven't manually edited. I use it all the time.

In MakeMKV settings, goto the "General" tab and check "Expert mode"
Now when you open the disc, highlight the very top line in the left pane called "Blu-ray disc", and in the right pane "Properties" area you should have "Name" selected in the drop-down box, and whatever text you enter in that field will be prepended to the filename as requested.
Please note that this will only work if you have NOT changed any of the title names yet, if you have then MakeMKV won't mess with them.
EDIT: Apologies to @Woodstock who must have replied while I was typing (I type real slow)!

Ah, but YOU remembered that expert mode is required! I'd forgotten that...

Absolutely brilliant!
Thank you, gentlemen. I appreciate it.

I am circling back to say how much I appreciate the information in this thread and how much time it has saved me. With unique filenames, they can be added directory at a time to handbrake. Huge time saver.
Also, don't forget to hit enter on the name field. If you don't, the updated name will not be used.

Happy to help, and thanks for getting back to us!
Yeah, that last bit seems to be a quirk of MakeMKV, and it's not just that name field, none of the text fields get updated until you click somewhere outside the entry box.
