Won't Initialize

Post by dtcjem » Thu Jan 13, 2022 2:16 pm

Good Morning -

Downloaded and used all day yesterday with no issues. Tried to log on today (Windows 10 Home) and get a message "Application failed to Initialize NO_ANSWER_FROM_MAKEMKVCON". I have un-installed and re-installed twice, and re-booted computer. Any Suggestions?

Are there any messages in the Windows Event View related to MakeMKV?

Sometimes Windows Defender will decide it doesn't like MakeMKV and move parts of it to quarantine, or simple refuse to let them run. But it should log this when it happens, even if it doesn't tell MakeMKV about it.

Hummm. I don’t see anything. I am looking through event view. I see some warnings “application permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM server application with CLSID”.

I do not anything specific to MakeMKV

I have gotten it working. I un-installed a few times and re-installed, but the last time I did not install the small DVD controller and it started working. During the un-install, this did not get removed.
