TL:dr - I am considering purchasing a WH16NS40, as it is compatible with LibreDrive, "can do UHD" (although I see that functionality is locked behind a firmware downgrade, might need to reconsider), and is capable of doing what I need it to do for RPCS3.
...
Hello all, apologies if this topic exists here somewhere, I was unable to find it. The broader internet offered very little in specifics. This question may belong on the RPCS3 community forum more than here, but this community is very active and if I may say so, pretty knowledgeable, so I am hopeful someone has tested these waters previously.
My concern is that the LibreDrive firmware may interfere with my ability to use the drive for RPCS3. Is there anyone that has tested this use case? Perhaps I am not choosing the optimal drive, the crossover between the two different software's recommendations is a little limited but there are a few other choices.
This is in no way a complaint or a feature request. This is a dude that is ignorant and wants to learn, and then go do my dude things.

WH16NS60.... I do not see that drive on their compatibility list. That doesn't mean you are wrong. Is this from personal experience?
