New with UHD drives, need help

Greetings, I hope you can help me, I just got an asus BW-16D1HT as I wanted to do some backups with the M-disc, however the drive is not detecting any of the blank disk I use, I bought together a batch of 25 disk and none is recognized by the drive, it always end with an error: "please insert a disk", I already flashed the mkv firmware hoping that could fix it but still same issue, I want to know if it may be necessary to get an special driver since actually the computer never asked to download one in the first place or if it may be an issue of the computer as its quite an old model by today standards (Asus Sabertooth z77), any feedback will be much appreciated and thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, already tried but still not working, unfortunately it’s not possible for me to replace it, I think it maybe a windows issue as it seems there are some driver issues with win 10 and since this was a replacement of a previous DVD drive maybe windows is not loading the correct driver, I am planning to get a new computer next year so once I install the drive in that computer I will reply if this issue was fixed or not, again thanks for the feedback

Greetings, as promised an update on the situation of mi Asus drive, in the end I have not purchased the new computer yet, however a couple of weeks after installing the drive my pc started to fail and eventually the PSU died, a couple of days ago was finally able to get a new PSU and after ensuring everything was good decided to give a try with the blue ray disc and now finally the drive recognized the disk and was able to do my first backup, my guess is that based on a previos forum I saw in another web page (I do not recall witch one), it seems that if the drive does not gets enough power it may behave incorrectly so I suppose that was my case, the PSU was faulty but was still not failing at the time I got the drive but despite the drive had power to be detected and even read some regular Cd's, it was lacking the necessary power to handle more advanced formats like hd dvd's and blue rays, I hope this may help other people with similar issues, always check if the PSU is providing enough power to the drive as that may cause problems, especial if the PSU was quite old like mine was almost 8 years old
