MakeMKV 1.6.0 Fatal Error at Start

MakeMkv Fatal error at start up of program. Tried reinstalling the program a number of times in different folders and tried different compatibility settings and nothing works. Ver 1.5.8 worked with no problems. Both were run on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I ran 1.6.0 on my laptop with vista home 32 bit and it worked fine. Tried older version and it will not run as it says newer version available. Any ideas?

Please try the following - start a command prompt, navigate to the folder where MakeMKV is installed and type

cmd /c set APROXY_FORCE_32BIT=1 && makemkv

I?ve tried this:
cmd /c set APROXY_FORCE_32BIT=1 && makemkv

the following happens:
The application window opens, after about 5 sec
it closes with the massage:
"Fehler aufgetreten, Programm wird beendet"
"Error occurred, program will be terminated"
