The program can't find any usable optical drives. [SOLVED]

All off a sudden on two machines I get the following message:

The program can't find any usable optical drives.

Device Manager sees the drives

If device manager sees the drives, when you stick a disk in them, does explorer see the contents?

MakeMKV is dependent upon the operating system to tell it which devices are optical disks. If it asks and gets back "none", that is what it has to go with.

Resetting the computer is often necessary to get the OS to properly communicate with a device. If it's an external drive (USB or similar connection), unplugging/replugging can do the job, most of the time.

Try running MakeMKV as administrator.

@Woodstock: The content did show up in File Manager, and I tried two different disks and it was not seen by MakeMKV.

@SamuriHL: Running the application as Administrator WORKED. I am using a domain login so I have to now figure out what happened between two days ago and now. Thanks for the advise.
