First Season of Castle DVDs

#1 Post by OldTimerToo » Mon May 19, 2014 10:29 am

I am converting my DVD collection with MakeMKV for use on external hard drives and the WD TV Live box. For the most part, I am not running into significant problems separating episodes on TV series discs, with one exception -- the first season of Castle. These discs play fine on my DVD and BD players, but I want to convert them for playing from an external hard disc with the rest of my collection. Does anyone have any ideas how to handle these FOOBAR'D discs? The other seasons are fine, only this first season is FOOBAR'D.

I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

What is the problem exactly? It sounds like you're saying each disc is combined into a single file which is quite common and can be solved by splitting with the MMG program from MKVToolNix... but it's hard to tell.

I just found a discussion of the problem with the discs in the DVD error reports section.

See http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7792

P.S. The disc(s) fail to open. I've posted the debug log in hopes that the issue can be addressed in a future release.
