Inconsistent movie scenes

#1 Post by ovrkast » Wed Jan 15, 2014 3:24 pm

Hello-

I tried to backup my Blu-ray disc called "Now You See Me", and the ripping process produces an MKV file without any issues. However, when I go to watch the movie, the scenes seem to jump all over the place...meaning the chapters are not in the correct order. It's like watching a movie that constantly flashes back to previous scenes then jumping to future scenes. When I ripped the movie, there were so many playlists so I simply chose the longest one.

How do I know which playlist is correct to avoid this "jumping of scenes" in the movie? Please help...

Welcome to one of the forms of "copy protection" out there - put lots of titles in place with random scenes, to hide the real ones.

Don't go for the longest one - go for the ones that match the runtime shown for the movie.

Some players will show you which title was selected when you use the menus, which is helpful, but you can also search for the movie title plus the word "playlist" and find where people discuss which title to chose, bases upon which copy of the disk you have. There are several topics like that here, but this is not the main place to find such things.
