Audio formats

#1 Post by vetting » Fri Jun 28, 2013 2:55 pm

When I use Make MKV, and should choose audio track, I choose DTS HD Lossless English. But there are a sub audiotrack called DTS 3/2+1 English (see picture). Should I choose this option also, since I want surround? Or do I get full surrounf when only choosing DTS HD Lossless English?

Tick the top option as you have done. If your decoder supports DTS HD then you'll get 7.1 surround, if it only supports DTS Core you'll get 5.1, you do not need to tick the option below it.

I have a dedicated home cinema, so yes, I have surround :) So I just choose the DTS HD Lossless English, and I will get lossless surround sound.

Both are surround, 5.1 (core) and 7.1 (HD).

Works good right here too. I did everything that has been asked. I didn't tick the option below it.
