Good Day to Die Hard (2013)

#1 Post by MickeyRooney777 » Wed May 22, 2013 9:18 pm

Apparently there's an updated AACS

MakeMKV v1.8.3 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded 4 SVQ file(s)
Processing BD+ code, please be patient - this may take up to few minutes
Processing BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00000.svq
Saved BD+ dump file as C:\Users/.MakeMKV/dump_A_Good_Day_to_Die_Hard_E1705C7E75B03A2E.tgz
BD+ code processed but no FUTs were obtained, errors may follow

After backing up, the blu ray is garbled and unwatchable. Thanks for any help.

He means that BD+ is not the same thing as AACS encryption. There is a link in the MakeMKV FAQ section to an explanation of what BD+ is.
Saved BD+ dump file as C:\Users/.MakeMKV/dump_A_Good_Day_to_Die_Hard_E1705C7E75B03A2E.tgz
Send that file to Mike at svq@makemkv.com and he can use it to generate a fix-up code for it.

Thanks guys. I already used AnyDVD to decrypt and MakeMKV to do the rest. I didn't save the file. Sorry about not knowing the proper encryption terminology.

Did you go and delete the BD+ file dump? MakeMKV saved it as part of its normal operations, so it would still be present unless you removed it.

The link I was forgetting is this one: http://www.makemkv.com/svq/

It describes how MakeMKV deals with BD+ fix-up code.
