Ripping blu-rays - Playback at accelerated speed.

#1 Post by xreyuk » Sun Jan 06, 2013 12:12 am

Hey guys,

Been ripping Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring and Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers.

The first time I ripped The Fellowship of the ring, the .mkv file played fine in VLC player, but played at around a 2/3x speed in Windows Media Player.

I re-ripped The Fellowship of the Ring again, and it was fine.

However, whilst ripping The Two Towers, the same thing has happened again on the first rip. VLC is playing the file fine, but in Windows Media Player it's playing at an accelerated speed.

I need the file to play correctly in Windows Media Player because I used Windows Media Center for file playback.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Sorry, it may also be worth noting that after the rip has finished, I navigate to the directory where the file is placed, and immediately get a C++ runtime error, and it makes me restart Windows Explorer.

It says 'The application has requested C++ runtime in a strange way' (or something similar to that)

Thanks.
