acceptable to package trial makemkv?

#1 Post by nickblack » Wed Aug 29, 2012 12:07 am

Howdy! Paid user of MakeMKV on Linux here since January or so -- thanks for the great software!

I'm interested in packaging MakeMKV in .deb format for, at a minimum, SprezzOS (http://www.sprezzos.com). Would this be permitted?

Thanks!

I installed makemkv several http://www.esaclongchamp.com times now, on Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 13 (Cinnamon) and Linux Mint 13 (Xfce). All 64-bit, g++ version 4.6.3.
Everytime without any problems.

I'm not having any problems. I want to package the software. I'm not sure how you got anything else from my first post, but thanks for attempting to help :).

Yes, there is specific text in the license that permits re-packaging the linux version. Please note that an effort to create deb files is underway, so you might end up duplicating the work that is already done.

Outstanding -- thanks for your reply. I missed the RFP, but see it now. Good deal.
