Marginal info about audio track lost when converted to mkv

#1 Post by stealth82 » Tue Jan 10, 2012 5:36 pm

Is it normal that my player doesn't recognize specific information about the audio track I'm playing as it does when using the original DVD structure?

Depends what the playback software can handle. TMT's MKV handling is very poor. Assuming to selected to keep the HD audio when you ripped to MKV, TMT is likely the issue.
Home Theater PC: Assassin HTPC, XBMCbuntu 12.0 (Frodo), Intel i5 3570k 3.4 GHz Ivy Bridge w/ HD 4000, LG BD-ROM
Playback Devices: Mede8er MED600X3D, MyGica EnjoyTV 120, Xtreamer SideWinder 3, Crystal Acoustics MediaMatchBox
