Hi Everyone,

The last time I used MakeMKV to backup two 4K discs was about a week ago, and everything went swimmingly.

Today, I just fired up MakeMKV to backup a disc, and I get the following message:

MakeMKV v1.18.4 win(x64-release) started
Downloading latest SDF to C:\Users\_/.MakeMKV ...
Automatic SDF downloading is disabled or failed.
The program can't find any usable optical drives.

I did recently update to v1.18 4, but can not remember if I updated before or after I successfully used it last.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Most likely your system is blocking contact with the SDF server, which, unfortunately, is getting increasingly common. The server is actually where you're seeing this message, but... it's hidden by cloudflare, which doesn't do that for the update process.
