UHD Error Avatar Fire and Ash.

I have been trying to rip the 4K version of Avatar Fire and Ash. I used 2 different Drives: A Buffalo BU10 MO5KC1A4439d and a Pioneer mDisc drive I bought from OWC. Both are external USB drives. The Pioneer gets its power from a power brick. The Buffalo has a double USB pigtail, one USB for data and power and the other (presumably_ for power only. My MakeMKV version is 1.18.3, and I am using it on a Mac Mini M4 Pro.

This movie is 84 GB approximately. I initially decided ripping it using the Pioneer drive and it worked well until it got to about the 20 GB mark, then it failed. I tried again, and this time it got to about 40 GB with a second version of the 4K movie present in the disk. I tried removing most audio files except for a single Stereo on, to see if this would reduce the size of the file to be ripped... yet it failed again. So I switched to the Buffalo drive. This one also made it to again about 40 GB when it failed with the following message:

Since this particular disk came with a Blu Ray version, I tried ripping that (close to 42 GB), and it went to the end with no problem. I would however really like to be able to use the 4K disk rather than the 1080p version. What can I do? Unfortunately I did not copy the error messages from my other drive (pioneer) to post here.

The errors look like what you get when the drive is spun too fast for its power supply, and it shuts down. Does it spin down about the time the error occurs?

The drive is struggling to read the disc and runs low on power. For starters, try cleaning the UHD disc, even if it looks pristine.
