I'm trying to understand all the different files identified when ripping GOT Season 1 to mkv.

I've ripped the first 2 seasons. When I look at the files generated (I didn't de-select any of the files mkv initially identified) there are multiple copies of Season 1 chapters (see 1st attaached screenshot of files mkv identified before ripping). This doesn't make sense to me. Are there a total of 37 chapters in Season 1. Which of these do I actually need to watch all of Season 1? The listing for Chapters 1-37 is the smallest file size at 496.4 MB vs 29 - 31 GB for the others.

The second screenshot lists the files actually generated after ripping with mkv.

I'm going to attach a link to this site. this person uploads their collection and has the episodes documented to show which file you need to rip. hope it helps. it saved me alot of trouble especially since i ever seen the show before and I did all of this first before watching.

Thanks for that link..saved me a heap of guessing and that the 0080x.mpls were correct..so far.

I heard that the disc 3 from GOT can be problematic to rip, sure enough, my discs 3 from season 2 and 3 ends in error. Disc 3 from season 1 worked just fine and I have yet to try the other seasons. So what's the work around this issue?

For 2 discs I had to use a Pioneer BDR-212V.

That said, I exchanged this 3 times. The first time I had 6 discs that wouldn't rip. I exchanged it for a new set and was left with 2 discs. I exchanged it again and was still couldn't rip the same 2 discs. I then exchanged it again and used the Pioneer and successfully ripped the last 2 problematic discs. I'm thinking the Pioneer could have ripped them all the first time, but clearly the discs are pressed very cheaply.
