30 Day Trial not decrementing?

#1 Post by BlankOut » Sat Dec 27, 2025 4:09 pm

I'm on an M2 Max MacBook, running macOS Tahoe Version 26.1 (25B78).

I downloaded MakeMKV about a week ago and started using it, including the BluRay feature. I noticed recently that the "30 Day" trial doesn't seem to decrement. Every time I insert a BluRay, it pops up the warning and asks me if I want to start the trial. When I click Yes, it says I have 30 days remaining.

Is this just a UI glitch, or is it not properly tracking the days I've used the feature?

It has been a long time since I've used a trial version of MakeMKV. I bought a license several years ago. Eventually it'll stop working and you'll have to update the license key to the latest beta key or buy a permanent license.

FAQ about BETA and PERMANENT keys.

I would guess you're seeing a UI glitch. Every time the current beta key expires the forum gets a lot messages from people surprised and angry that free software stops working for a brief period and that the only path to instant gratification is via money.
