ASUS BW-12D1S-U

Hi! I'm new here. Today I've bought my 1st BD Drive.
It is ASUS BW-12D1S-U. Is it possible to flash it for UHD BD?
I'm reading that user "Coopervid" maybe knows how! Is it right? Can you help me? Thank You very much.

Guessing that being built over 4 years before UHD was invented affects the compatibility...

Does anybody know if the ASUS BW-12D1S-U, can rip normal 1080p blurays?
Because I have found one sold for 50euro.

Thank you for your answer, so you think it is better to save more and buy something with pioneer for about 120euro?
I'm only saying it cause my budget is pretty tight right now and to me it sounded like a good deal. However I'm a complete novice when it comes to ripping.
