udf: node fe/efe failed!

#1 Post by baishen » Fri Feb 23, 2024 2:59 pm

I'm in the middle of ripping a UHD disc and I just noticed this in the log. Searching the forum shows a lot of people with it in their log, but they also have various read errors as well. The rip of the movie is only halfway done but I've not gotten any read errors.

What does "udf: node fe/efe failed!" mean and is it something I should be concerned about?

The rip completed and didn't show any errors in the log and while I didn't watch the entire movie, it appears to have ripped successfully.

Still not sure what the message means, though.

I don't know what that error means. However, the general rule of thumb for MakeMKV is if it completes and writes out a file, it should be 'good' and without errors. MakeMKV usually doesn't have any output if there's a problem.
