I've made about a dozen attempts to rip a DVD of "Biufitul" (2010 Iñárritu). All files rip okay except the 5.7GB film. It rips past the halfway mark, then stops and deletes the incomplete file and I get the following text:
"Failed to save title 0 to file C:/Users/S/Desktop/new ripsX/biu/C1_t00.mkv
0 titles saved, 1 failed"
There are NO error mssgs like SCSI read problems or similar. The disc is in good condition, only lightly scratched and clean. I've tried different drives, even purchased a brand new Bluray burner drive (my old one was toast).
WinX DVD Ripper also fails. It seems to detect the correct file, Title 4, but only produces a file under 3 minutes length, the first chapter of the film file I guess.
I have used MakeMKV and other ripping programs for years and successfully ripped several hundred titles of DVDs and Blurays. This is not my first rodeo, but I'm at a loss on this one. With no error mssgs listed, I don't know how to diagnose. Any clues?
